SnT Global seeks SC nod to tap capital market
By Business Times, NST, 24 Feb 2005

SNT Global Sdn Bhd, an MSC-status e-fulfilment business process outsourcing (BPO) specialist, plans to seek the approval of the Securities Commission (SC) to tap the capital market in the first half of next year.

Chief executive officer David Wong said the company has attracted investments of RM55 million to date, and the shareholders think the time has come for it to sell its shares to the public to fuel its ongoing expansion plans.

“We have already appointed an adviser for the proposed Malaysian Exchange of Securities Dealing and Automated Quotation Bhd market listing, and submissions to the regulatory body will be made within the next few months,” Wong said.

SnT plans to use a large portion of the money raised in the initial public offering (IPO) to acquire companies related to its core business activity.

SnT is a leader in supply chain execution and total logistics management.

Its e-fulfilment BPO services integrate people, processes and technology to enable supply-chain execution, helping e-market places, manufacturers and distributors to outsource their fulfilment process, focus on their core business, improve profitability and sustain their advantage.

This includes six areas: order fulfillment, transportation management, warehouse management, reverse logistics, customer relationship management and financial settlement.

“Because we provide an end-to-end solution, we have aligned operational assets around strategic fulfillment models and a world-class integrated IT infrastructure. This includes several acquisitions and alliances,” Wong said.

He said SnT had spent RM15 million to acquire four companies and expects to spend another RM5 million to acquire another two firms soon.

SnT said its acquisition and strategic alliances will help it maintain its current triple-digit growth.

According to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2004 programme, the average three-year revenue growth of SnT was 630 per cent.

The Deloitte programme is a ranking of the leading technology companies across the region based on percentage revenue growth over the last three years.

SnT is ranked 50 in Deloitte’s list of technology companies in Asia Pacific.

SnT is a unique BPO company as it operates by taking orders on its customers’ behalf through its call centres.

Once confirmed, the company manages the supply network and logistics management right through to the end-customer.

And, in the event of any problem, SnT also provides after-sales management service.

“By allowing SnT to do all this, our customers only need to focus on creating demand for their products and planning their

marketing strategies,” Wong said.

With its BPO business being a long-term relationship, SnT’s customers are mainly manufacturers, distributors and logistic companies including Dell, Sony, Epson and NEC.
