Petaling Jaya: Four Malaysian outsourcing companies were among the 100 global companies selected for the 2007 Global Service 100 (www.globalservicesmedia.com/sections/gs100). They are ea Consulting Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Scicom (MSC) Berhad, SnT Global Sdn Bhd and Vsource Asia Sdn Bhd. The Global Service 100 is an annual list produced by CMP-Cyber Media LLC in association with neoIT, an outsourcing advisory firm.

The four companies have also been listed among the “Top Ten to Watch in Emerging Asian Markets”. In addition, Vsource Asia was also placed in the top ten for the Best Performing Global Call Center Providers while Scicom appeared in the top ten for Specialty Application Development Providers.

Global Service 100 is an authoritative list of the most innovative providers of business and technology services from 11 service-delivery areas from business process outsourcing to IT outsourcing and customer service. The inaugural list was produced in 2005 and is now in its third year.

“We are delighted with the achievements of the Malaysian service providers. This is testimony to our capabilities and strength as an outsourcing partner to the global buyers,” said David Wong, the Co-Chairman of Outsourcing Malaysia.

All the four companies are members of Outsourcing Malaysia.

“It is heartening to note that Malaysian companies are highly regarded by the international business community. Our efforts in placing the local outsourcing industry and MSC Malaysia on the global sourcing map had certainly borne fruit,” added David.

Outsourcing Malaysia (www.outsourcingmalaysia.org.my) is a consortium led by senior industry leaders with the collaboration of the Malaysia Debt Ventures (MDV), Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) and the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (PIKOM). Its mission is to promote and develop Malaysia’s outsourcing service industry as a global hub for high-value sourcing activities.
