  eTRAX allows users to define business rules. It also allows users to subscribe to event notification and alerts.

The eTRAX Principles

eTRAX is built around the M-E-A-T principle which means — Milestones, Events, Activities and Tasks. Users can customize events and/or milestones according to their requirements.

M-E-A-T in reverse is explained below.

• Tasks
  The lowest level occurrences that roll into an Activity. It is usually carried out by the shop floor operations personnel to accomplish a job.
  
• Activities
  A single task or series of tasks that may trigger the completion of an Activity. It is normally used to track internal operations.
  
• Events
  Associated with a department, usually Operations or Functional monitoring the occurrence.
  
• Milestones
  A controlling, managing and evaluation tool. It is usually used to indicate a significant event or stage that is accomplished, to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI). For example, the On-time Delivery.
