Partnership to pave inroads in delivering e-fulfilment solutions to Malaysia, Singapore and China Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 4th November 2003 – SnT Global Sdn Bhd, a leading e-fulfilment solutions provider recently announced its strategic partnership with regional business solutions provider, AsiaSoft (S) Pte Ltd to deliver e-fulfilment solutions targeted at logistics service providers (LSPs) in Malaysia, Singapore and China. The offering provides LSPs with the ability to manage supply chain activities more effectively. “To remain competitive, companies in these countries are increasingly outsourcing their supply chain execution activities to concentrate on core competencies and also improve efficiencies and reduce cost. Many are also adopting technologies to achieve this objective. Our HeLP solutions are able to provide manufacturers, distributors and logistics providers, an opportunity to grow without hurting their budgets; giving them a competitive edge in their industry” said David Wong, chief executive officer, SnT Global Sdn Bhd. Under the partnership, Asiasoft will market SnT Global’s award winning Hosted e-Logistics Platform (HeLP). HeLP has a number of modules to cater to logistic service providers’ needs. One of them is eHub, a warehouse management system powered by EXE Technologies. The internet-based modules can be deployed on an application service provider (ASP) model or in the more traditional client-server mode. The HeLP platform brings together LSPs, customers and suppliers in a supply chain, and enables them to communicate, exchange information and work together to achieve smoother supply chain management. The backbone of HeLP is the Event Management Control (EMC). It has a level of intelligence programmed into it to track data along an extended supply chain. It is able to monitor, alert and provide real time solutions to issues occurring within the supply chain. When triggered, the system simply notifies the customer of an issue via predetermined communications tools such as electronic mail (e-mail) or short messageing service (SMS). Among the customers who have benefited from SnT Global’s e-fulfilment solutions are Dell, Sony, Epson, NEC Infrontia, Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) and TM Net. Asiasoft’s Senior Manager, Ryan Lim said “we are positive about this alliance. SnT Global’s proven e-fulfilment solutions are much sought after in the e-commerce industry. We see potential demand for these solutions from our target markets, especially from China which has opened its doors to the world trading system by entering the World Trade Organisation”. SnT Global’s Wong added that the company is working towards its goal of being the regional e-fulfilment service provider for Asia by building its regional capability. Its alliance with Asiasoft provides excellent partnership synergy and a foothold into the targeted markets. Growth of the e-commerce market As more businesses begin switching to more efficient internet-based models, supply chain integration is rapidly being transformed. More and more information is traded between logistics service providers, suppliers and customers. In view of the high online data transaction, utmost importance is placed on ensuring data integrity and speeding up data transfer. There is also emphasis on increasing the visibility of data to the right people at the right time along the supply chain. According to findings by IDC, the supply chain market in Asia is worth US$4.4 billion. The growth for the region’s logistics market is an estimated 42 percent in 2003. “With the liberalisation following the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, we expect the region’s supply chain management demand to grow rapidly. Through this partnership we intend to capture for ourselves a significant amount of business from the region”, said Wong. ### About SnT Global Sdn Bhd SnT Global’s e-fulfillment Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services integrates people, processes and technology to enable supply chain execution, helping e-market places, manufacturers and distributors to outsource their fulfillment process, focus on their core business, improve profitability and sustain their competitive advantage.
